Kelly Jones, owner-operator of Jones Home Improvements, has a long, award-winning history within the remodeling industry. He began helping his dad with carpentry and deck building in 1985 at the age of 15, and in 1995, started his own remodeling company, Jones Construction.
After a few successful years, he differentiated the company by creating and manufacturing sought-after wrought iron railings without the heavy price tag. He integrated these decorative balusters into conventional wood, composite, and vinyl railings, offering customers more design options and one-of-a-kind premier decks. These wrought-iron railings and accents became a national brand (Deckorators), which you will see today at big-box retailers like Lowe’s and Home Depot.
Kelly sold Deckorators in 2005 to focus solely on the construction side of the business and rebranded Jones Construction as Jones Home Improvements, building an in-house team of top designers, engineers, draftsmen, architects, carpenters, and builders. Kelly grew up in the area and has built a reputation as St. Louis, St. Charles, and Jefferson County’s premier boutique remodeling company that is responsive, reliable, and precise in their work. He and his team treat each customer as neighbors and take great pride in their workmanship.
In addition to working with customers at Jones Home Improvements, Kelly has started a new custom deck accent company, Art Decko, where he designs and fabricates unique metal accent pieces for decks and patios, such as fleur de lis, scrolls, and other beautiful artistic creations.

Robert (Rob) Workman, Partner and Sales Manager, has had an extensive 25-year career in the residential remodeling industry. He and Kelly have worked together building and designing home improvements for decades. Today, Rob does most of the in-home estimating and designing.
In addition to being an expert in home remodeling, Rob is the first certified Building Biologist Environmental Consultant (BBEC) in the St. Louis Metropolitan area and one of only 100 nationwide that specializes in the assessment and mitigation of unsafe electric, magnetic, and radio frequency (EMF) pollution. With his in-depth knowledge of residential building construction and materials, and over a dozen official certifications, he offers unique insight into the physics of a home’s construction and technology to help homeowners create a healthy living environment.
